The main liver transplant Centers in Mainland China decided to create the CLTR with the following objectives:

1. Registry of all liver transplantation (LT) procedures in Mainland China

2. Link between Mainland China LT Centers

3. Scientific evaluation and publications

Center of Study for Liver Disease (CSLD), Queen Mary Hospital (The University of Hong Kong) was designated to manage and analyze the data of CLTR.

CLTR has planned to collect data regarding all liver transplant performed in Mainland China, including data on recipients, donor, operation and post-operation.
